Oktoberfest 2011

Oktoberfest 2011, Appleton, WI, held on 9/24/2011 on crowded College Avenue.  Team 93 once again had a fun-filled day selling caramel apples and doing robot demonstrations.

Robot Demo @ Time Warner Cable

NEW Apple Corps FIRST Robotics Team 93 demonstrated Tobor 14 for the CEO and President of Time Warner Cable, Mr. Glenn Britt, at the regional headquarters in Appleton WI, on August 24, 2011.  Mr. Britt was inpressed with the robots and the students at the demo.

Robot Demo for Heart of the Valley Senior Service Club

On Wednesday, August 17th the team put on an impressive demonstration for the members of the Heart of the Valley Senior Service Club. The club members were very interested in every aspect of the team and asked many questions.

Open Arms for Children Brat Fry

On August 20, 2011, NEW Apple Corps Robotics sponsored a brat fry to raise money for the Open Arms Home for Children in South Africa.  The orphanage is supported by former major league all star Davey Nelson, currently a television analyst with FSN Wisconsin covering the Milwaukee Brewers baseball club.  Davey was on hand all day meeting fans and signing autographs.

Flag Day Parade 2011

Tobor 14 ran great and waved to the crowd at Appleton’s Flag Day Parade, Saturday June 11, 2011.  The crowd responded with shouts of “Hey, it’s the robotics team!”

Brat Fry June 4, 2011

Team 93 spent a fun Saturday at Niemuth’s Southside Market raising money for the Old Glory Honor Flight.  Thank you to everyone who helped make this a successful event.

LED Bulbs at Just Act Natural

N.E.W. Apple Corps Featured in Time-Warner Newsletter

TWC’s Appleton team competes in FIRST Robotics Championship! NAC in St. Louis - 2011
A big congratulations goes out to the TWC sponsored FIRST Robotics team, the N.E.W. Apple Corps Robotics. The Appleton team and their robot, Tobor 14, competed in the 2011 FIRST Championship last week in St. Louis, among more than 352 teams from across the world! In the end, the Apple Corps team didn’t place, but they held their own in some tough competitions. For more details on the competition, check out the FIRST website at usfirst.org.

Earlier this year, the team took second place at Wisconsin’s FIRST Robotics Competition in Milwaukee. The Appleton team is made up of about 25 high school students from Appleton North, East and West High Schools. TWC is proud of the Apple Corps team on their global success!
